Ha Ha ... Jisuk is with his puppies Byuli and Cyuli!
Suh Ji Suk has been greatly troubled by his facial wrinkles that appear whenever he shows his charming smile.
On 4/17, Suh Ji Suk is interviewed by the reporter of ‘TV Report’ at Shinsa-dong, Kangnam disctirct. He says with a cool smile, “my facial wrinkles are killing me.”
Wrinkle lines, like the ribs of a fan (부챗살처럼), appear at each side of his eyes have become his trademark and therefore people around him have urged him to do plastic surgery for the wrinkle problem.
Suh Ji Suk says with a smile, “Since my debut in 2001, I have not let any doctor’s hand touch my face. People around me have solicited me to receive Botox cosmetic treatment. About 5 ~ 6 years, I have been continuously hearing this kind of suggestion.”
He says, “Although I am not against plastic surgery or procedure, I would like to live naturally. I’d like to be an actor having a natural look for my age. Therefore, I appreciate those praises about my wrinkle appearance as well as those stories making people laugh along.”
Suh Ji Suk has received great loves from TV viewers for his devoted image as the PE teacher Yoon Jisuk in the MBC sitcom “Highkick3” which ended in March.
The Yoon Jisuk and Park Hasun couple of the MBC “Highkick3” has received the most attentions from the TV viewers. The romance between the indecisive (우유부단, 優柔不斷) but lovely Hasun and the sincere (일편단심, 一片丹心) Yoon Jisuk have gained the unlimited supports from the TV viewers.
Recently, Suh Ji Suk was interviewed by the reporter of “News En” at the ‘Bean Sota Café’ located at Shinsa-dong, Kangnam district. He open-mindedly (허심탄회, 虛心坦懷) talks about Yoon Jisuk after 7 months of filming for this role.
Suh Ji Suk expresses his affection to the sitcom, “Until now, it has been difficult for me to play the role Yoon Jisuk who is a different type of man from myself. Yoon Jisuk’s ‘one-way-love’ towards Hasun was very difficult and then he desires to have sweet and interesting romance. Around the last 10 episodes, it looked like that the sitcom was not about to end that it would be extended. I still miss the sitcom till now.”
In the sitcom, Yoon Jisuk is a passionate man showing his highest and supreme gentleness (지고지순, 至高至順) to Hasun. Suh Ji Suk says, “In this aspect, Yoon Jisuk and I are the same. I don’t look at other women when I am with one woman and other people’s opinions would not affect me.”
He likes to collaborate with Park Ha Sun. Suh Ji Suk says, “Miss Hasun prepares very much, and she is my friend thoroughly (徹底的朋友). I would rather focus on matching Hasun’s rhythm. Our ensemble (앙상블, 合奏) would be broken if only cares about individual passion.
However, as to the question – “How about having a real girl friend similar to Hasun?”, Suh Ji Suk answers with a smile, “I don’t want to.” He explains, “I don’t like the aspect of Hasun’s indecisiveness (우유부단, 優柔不斷) in the sitcom. Moreover, I like woman who knows my mind well. In the sitcom, Hasun seems to show too much of unawareness and indecisiveness.”
In addition, he emphasizes, “Of course, the character is a beloved person. The portion showing that her mind was not towards me is to portray her beloved person. It shows what kind of a man this woman adores.”
Suh Ji Suk admits, “In fact, I had thoughts that I did not like Hasun at the time I had a ‘one-way-love’ toward her because Yoon Jisuk was put in a very difficult situation. However, everything is settled after Hasun rushes to the hospital to confess her love toward Jisuk."
To answer the question as to which female characters in the sitcom is his ‘ideal type of woman’, Suh Ji Suk says, “It is hard to answer this question.” He states with a smile, “Well…. Every character is lovely and I can’t help liking all of them. Everyone is lovable that occupy my heart.”
